DO YOU TAKE RESERVATIONS?
Sure do! We take reservations Monday through Friday afternoon. We do not take reservations for the weekends or holidays. Reserve a table by calling the store at (617) 267-8688 or by clicking here.

DO YOU DELIVER?
You bet we do! Our food is delivered by these third party companies:
GrubHub
Caviar
DoorDash
UberEats
Postmates

DO YOU HOLD BOOK READINGS OR OTHER AUTHOR EVENTS?
Heck yeah we do! Many of our author events are free and open to the public. You can see our full events calendar here. Our diverse space has been host to a variety of events--reading, beer tastings, cooking demos, even speed dating!

Are you an author? Ask us about holding an event by emailing events@tridentbookscafe.com.

CAN YOU SELL BOOKS AT OUR EVENT?
Trident would love to partner with you for your conference/party/festival/whatever! Please send an email to courtney@tridentbookscafe.com with the following information:

  • Event type
  • Book title and author
  • Number of expected attendees
  • Date
  • Time
  • Location


YOU HAVE REALLY NICE CAFE SPACES. CAN I HOST MY PRIVATE EVENT AT TRIDENT?
Yes! We have hosted all sorts of private functions, from birthday parties to sorority mixers to wedding rehearsal dinners to graduation parties. For pricing and more information, click here to visit our webpage or email catering@tridentbookscafe.com.

DO YOU SELL USED BOOKS?
No, but we have a huge selection of remainders, which are leftover books from recent print runs that are sold at a reduced price. Like, really reduced. Like, guilt-free-shopping reduced.

DO YOU BUY USED BOOKS?
Nope.

I SELF-PUBLISHED A BOOK/MAGAZINE. WILL YOU SELL IT? DO YOU TAKE BOOKS ON CONSIGNMENT?
We do have a consignment program, but unfortunately, we can't take every book that comes through the door. You can apply to our consignment program by filling out our consignment form with a description of the book, as well as how you plan to drive people to our store to buy your book.

Our consignment agreement provisions are:

1) The consignor will receive 60% of the cover price of each item sold.
2) Unsold consignment items must be picked up within 90 days.
3) Trident is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
4) A check for items sold will be issued and mailed upon pickup of remaining items by consignor.
5) If all items are sold, a check will be issued and mailed within 60 days of the date of the last item sold.
6) Trident reserves the right to deny any applicant for consideration to our consignment program.
7) A $20 deposit is required for our consignment program.

Please note that we are only taking requests from LOCAL AND BOSTON AREA AUTHORS. 

Please do not drop off copies of your book at the store, unless explictly asked to do so.

WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY COPIES LEFT AT THE STORE.

Applicants must have flexible and open availability through the end of the year. Applications that do not fit this requirement will not be considered at this time.  
Electronic applications are preferred. 

Servers/Runners:

The Trident is looking for professional and friendly servers and runners who are dedicated to hospitality and teamwork. Experience is preferred but we will train the right candidates; positive attitudes and flexible availability are required!

Booksellers:

Calling all book lovers! Trident is searching for people interested in books and working in a quirky environment. If you’re someone who enjoys sharing your love of books with others, reading the latest titles, and helping customers find their next great read, then Trident is the place for you!

Minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applicants must have flexible and open availability through the holidays (November and December). Applications that do not fit this requirement will not be considered at this time.
