Ronak Husni is a senior lecturer at Heriot-Watt University, teaching Arabic language, literature, and translation.

Daniel L. Newman is the course director of the MA in Arabic/English Translation at the University of Durham and the author of An Imam in Paris (Saqi Books).

About the Author

Ronak Husni teaches Arabic language, literature and translation at the University of Durham. She obtained a BA in Arabic Language and Literature from the University of Mosul, Iraq, and a PhD from the University of St Andrew's, Scotland. Daniel L. Newman is Head of the Arabic Department at the University of Durham and Course Director of the MA in Arabic/English Translation. He holds a PhD in Arabic Literature and Language from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
